Wawrzyniak nabbed in doping tests; will he return to Legia?

Hugollek - Wiadomość archiwalna

It is possible that Jakub Wawrzyniak will return to Legia in the summer. Legia sold its left defender to Panathinaikos Athens, however there are some conditions which allow player to come back to Warsaw. The commotion is a result of the specific which was taken by Polish footballer to reduce his adipose tissue. The dope testing was positive. The second sample was also positive. "This was hard to expect a negative result" – said Wawrzyniak, who claimed that he hadn't been aware of the fact that the medicament he had taken had been forbidden.
The positive result of the second sample can be equal with two years of disqualification. The decision of the Greek football court will be made within a few days. Chances that Panathinaikos is not going to cancel Wawrzyniak's contract are minimal. If the footballer is not going to be cleared of blame, Greek club won't pay Legia one million Euro and defender will return to Warsaw in the summer.
"When I left Legia, the level of my adipose tissue was pretty good. However, I wanted it to be perfect. That's why I took a specific which helped me to reduce this tissue. It causes your body slighter (2-3kg). This was my goal. Many sportsmen do so. I admit that I took this medicament. However I won't disclose the information about the name of this specific, yet. This was my terrible mistake, unconcern and disrespect of consequences" – said Jakub Wawrzyniak in an interview for "Gazeta Wyborcza".
