Jan Urban sacked!

Hugollek - Wiadomość archiwalna

Due to two defeats in a row: with Odra Wodzisław (0-1) and with Polonia Bytom (0-1) members of Legia’s board decided to fire Warsaw team's coach, Jan Urban. During yesterday's after-match conference Urban said he was still Legia's coach. However he added that he hadn't checked his cellular phone.

According to some unofficial pieces of information, Jan Urban has been fired on the way from Silesia to Warsaw after a phone call with Legia's owners.

Urban began his work in Legia on 4th June 2007. He managed to win the Polish Cup and the Polish Supercup. Under his wings Legia was two times the second in the league (after the end of the seasons 2007/2008 and 2008/2009).
Hiring Urban was an attempt to try out Spanish forms of coaching and training.

The next person who will be probably fired is Mirosław Trzeciak. This is hard to answer the question about who is going to lead Legia in the game against Ruch Chorzów (the first leg of Polish Cup's quarterfinal) on Tuesday.
