Urban: Steaua are favourites

- Frankly speaking, I didn’t want to play against Steaua. This Romanian club mostly consists of native footballers. They proved with last-season results that they had been demanding rivals. They managed to win the promotion to the 1/8 final of the UEFA Europa League and showed nice football – said Legia’s coach Jan Urban after UEFA Champions League 4th qualifying round draw.
- I don’t know Steaua’s style of play. We’ll be trying to get as many pieces of information about them as possible. This shouldn’t be a problem. We’ll prepare an appropriate strategy and tactics. We’re going to have a great football adventure. Because of the fact that we managed to win the promotion to the UEFA Europa League group phase, I hope that my players will show all their skills in the matches against Steaua. Nowadays, there aren’t many strong clubs to win the promotion to the UEFA Champions League group phase. There are many examples confirming my way of thinking, e.g. FC BATE Borisov, the team which used to play in group stages of both UEFA Champions League and Europa League for many seasons in a row, was knocked out in the second qualifying round this year. The most important thing is to be self-confident and not to be afraid of the opponent – said Legia’s coach.

- It’s crucial that we play the first game away in Romania. Nevertheless, even if we played the first match in Warsaw and won without losing a goal, it would be obvious that our rivals would have to uncover themselves. There’s no doubt about the fact that Steaua are favourites. They will be playing open football. If there’s a possibility, I’ll try to see Steaua’s footballers in action – finished Urban.
