Ekstraklasa champion group: Lechia Gdańsk 0-1 Legia Warsaw

In the second match (out of total seven) of the Ekstraklasa champion group Legia’s players managed to defeat 1-0 Lechia’s footballers at PGE Arena on Saturday evening. The only goal of the game was scored in the 72nd minute by Ondrej Duda, who made use of Tomasz Brzyski’s pass.

In the current season Legia lost both league games with Lechia, so everyone had known it was going to be a tough challenge. And indeed, during first forty-five minutes of the match these were Lechia’s players who were prevailing on the field. Legia’s footballers looked quite clumsy on the pitch. Nevertheless, the first half finished with a 0-0 draw.
Unfortunately for Legia, first minutes of the second half were quite similar to the first half. Legia’s first well-aimed hit on Lechia’s goal happened about twenty minutes before the end of the game. Luckily, in the 72nd minute Ondrej Duda scored the only and as it turned out later also the winning goal of the match.
Eventually, Legia defeated 1-0 Lechia in Gdańsk.
