Legia’s footballers didn’t cope with Zawisza’s players at Łazienkowska on Wednesday evening. They lost 2-3 and didn’t win the Polish Supercup. Zawisza struck its winning goal in the injury time. It’s worth mentioning that seven Legia’s footballers debuted on the pitch during this game.
The first half finished with a 1-1 draw. The game was rather boring. However, both teams had their situations to score goals. The first one was struck in the 30th minute by Zawisza’s Luis Carlos, who gave Legia’s goalkeeper no chance. Just before referee’s first final whistle, young Adam Ryczkowski equalised. Ivica Vrdoljak passed him the ball, and he put it in the net with a simple kick.

Legia’s players began the second half with an aggressive attitude. They tried to block their opponents’ counterattacks with high pressing football. Unfortunately, rivals from Bydgoszcz managed to score the second goal. Luis Carlos passed the ball to Alvarinho, who struck the ball towards Legia’s net, totally surprising its goalkeeper Konrad Jałocha. Less than fifteen minutes later Legia equalised again. Marek Saganowski defeated Zawisza’s Grzegorz Sandomierski with a header.

In the injury time, when everyone thought there was going to be a penalty shootout, Vahan Gevorgyan defeated Legia’s Jałocha. Eventually, the team from Bydgoszcz was celebrating winning the Polish Supercup of the season 2013/2014.
