In the second leg of the Polish Cup quarterfinal Warsaw footballers drew 1-1 with Śląsk Wrocław at Łazienkowska. The first goal was struck in the 12th minute of the game. Śląsk’s Peter Grajciar took advantage of Dušan Kuciak’s mistake and defeated Legia’s goalkeeper.
Legia equalised in the 53rd minute when Michał Żyro received a perpendicular pass from Ondrej Duda and defeated rivals’ goalkeeper.
The game finished with a 1-1 draw. Due to the fact that the first leg finished with the same result, there had to be extra time. Because none of the teams managed to score a goal, there was a penalty shootout. This was won 3-1 by Legia and the team from the capital of Poland was promoted to the semi-final.
