8th fixture: Legia 2-2 Zagłębie Lubin
Legia Warsaw only drew 2-2 with Zagłębie Lubin on Friday evening. Until the end of the first half the away team was winning 2-0 with Warsaw players. In the 18th minute of the match one of Legia’s footballers made a mistake of which Zagłębie’s Krzysztof Piątek made use. He had only Dušan Kuciak to beat, whom he managed to delude and that’s how Piątek scored a goal.
Eighteen minutes later the club from Lubin was executing a corner kick. Michal Papadopulos jumped up in the penalty area and struck a nice header.
Twenty minutes before referee’s final whistle Legia scored its first goal. Ivan Tričkovski, who had his debut in Legia’s team and who took advantage of Bartosz Bereszyński’s pass, defeated rivals’ goalkeeper. Four minutes later there was a turmoil in Zagłębie’s penalty area. Nemanja Nikolić made use of it and equalised.
The result didn’t change and both teams had to content themselves with a draw.
