Wawrzyniak: I have already spoken with Legia`s board
"If the information at the Greek website is true, then everything's very simple – Jakub Wawrzyniak returns to Legia" – said Michał Kocięba, Warsaw club's spokesman, in an interview for "Polska". It seems that the days of the national team's defender are numbered. Although Legia didn't receive any official letter, Greek club's intentions are obvious – it doesn't want to decide for the definitive transfer of the player.
"After it was revealed that the results of the dope tests (the game against Skoda) were positive, other samples taken from the player's body after previous matches were examined" – explained a Greek journalist to "Przegląd Sportowy".
"I've heard about the information published at the Panathinaikos's website, however no one from the club contacted with me. Until I talk with the board, it's difficult to comment on the fact which I am not quite sure about" – said the footballer in an interview for "Przegląd Sportowy".
"It's an odd situation, but what should I do? I have to cope with it. I won't be left out in the cold, because I have a place to come back to. I've already negotiated with the Warsaw team's board. I want to say that I am happy with Legia's attitude which is fair towards my person. Legia could have certainly terminated my contract, but fortunately this is a professional club" – added Wawrzyniak.
Wawrzyniak's contract is valid for the further two years.
