Odra – Legia: after-match conference
Jan Urban (Legia's coach): We remembered about last year's defeat at this stadium. That's why I stood near the pitch's line. I wanted to be close with my team and I didn't want this situation to be repeated. And frankly, the situation wasn't the same today. The game looked pretty well, sometimes even brilliant. I'm not going to search for excuses such as lack of luck. Everything's due to the fact that we need too many situations to score a single goal.
Such matches often finish badly, because the rivals have only one situation, such as Odra today, and they manage to take advantage of it. I don't know if they won deservedly, however three points stay in Wodzisław Śląski.
We can say what we want about Chinyama, but when he was on the field, he was scoring goals. Unfortunately, our attackers aren't able to strike them. Odra was trying to play open football, but this were us who had generated more situations. We simply weren't able to take advantage of them.
Ryszard Wieczorek (Odra's coach): We were lucky today. We should have won with Jagiellonia Białystok two weeks ago, we shouldn't have lost with Polonia Bytom. Fortunately, the limit balanced. In the first half we presented such football which we shouldn’t have played. We had problems in the second line. In the second half we placed good and such situations didn't repeat. Legia had its chances only after free-kicks, etc. We are very happy with three points. Before the match began, I spoke to coach Urban and we both admitted that every team is able to win it. I would like to praise Aleksander Kwiek who was agonising due to the defeat with Polonia Bytom. He did what he had to do and was a hard footballer today.
