Antolović will be Legia’s main goalkeeper
During last few weeks this was hard to say who was going to play first fiddle between Legia’s goal posts. It originally seemed that Warsaw club’s new recruit Marijan Antolović was to enter upon duties of Legia’s goalkeeper. However, due to his uncertain performance in few friendly matches, the coaching staff wasn’t sure who should defend Legia’s goal.
There was a poll at our website a few days ago. We asked you who you would like to see as the first goalkeeper. You believe that Kostiantyn Machnowskij would be the best. Nevertheless, according to "Przegląd Sportowy" this is Antolović who will be defending Legia’s goal in the first games. "I ensure you that I can play better. I didn’t manage to show all of my skills" – said the Croatian after a friendly game against Rennes.
"Kostia" also believes in his abilities. "When this was certain that Jan Mucha was going to leave Legia, I believed that I could spring up in the team. Maybe I realised it too late. Nevertheless, I can’t turn back time, but as long as there’s a chance to play, I will be fighting to be the first goalkeeper" – added Machnowskij.
No one knows what is going to happen with Wojciech Skaba who has recently come back to the team from a loan.
