Legia 2-1 Lech Poznań
After Legia’s three defeats in a row there were very few fans who believed that Warsaw team could achieve success in the match against Lech Poznań on Friday.
Doubts of Legia’s fans were justified because thanks to a tremendous shot of Lech’s Siergiej Kriwiec in the 10th minute of the game the team from Poznań was leading 1-0. 1.400 Lech’s supporters who decided to visit the capital of Poland simply burst with joy.
Fortunately, a few minutes before the end of the first half young player of Legia Michał Kucharczyk managed to equalise. Unluckily, as a result of the second yellow card Warsaw team’s Maciej Rybus had to leave the pitch in the 44th minute of the game. Moreover, due to an argument with the referee Legia’s coach Maciej Skorża was forced to leave the field, too. This meant that Legia was “abandoned” by its coach and had to play the rest of the game with only ten men on the pitch.
Due to this unfortunate situation people gathered in the stands of Legia’s new stadium prayed even for a draw. To their surprise two minutes before the end of match’s full time Legia’s Bruno Mezenga managed to defeat Lech’s goalkeeper Jasmin Burić und unbelievably Warsaw team won 2-1 the game.
