UEFA Europa League: Hapoel Tel Aviv 2-0 Legia Warsaw
Legia Warsaw lost 0-2 its last match of the UEFA Europa League’s group stage against Hapoel Tel Aviv Football Club on Thursday evening. During the game, Wojciech Skaba was Warsaw team’s first goalkeeper. Everything due to the fact that Dušan Kuciak was punished with a red card in the match against PSV Eindhoven which took place in the capital of Poland on 30th November.
After the first half Israeli players were leading 1-0. In the second half Hapoel had to play with only ten men on the pitch since the 60th minute because Gal Shish was punished with the second yellow card and had to leave the field. However, it didn’t help Legia because footballers from Israel were able to strike another goal.
Although Legia lost the match, it was promoted to the UEFA Europa League’s 1/16 final. Its rival will be Sporting Lisbon.
There were about eight thousand supporters in the stands including one hundred and twenty fans from Warsaw and several people from Polish embassy in Israel.
