Europa League: FC Aktobe 0-1 Legia
After Legia’s expelling from the UEFA Champions League, Warsaw players can only take part in the UEFA Europa League. In the first leg of the play-off round of this competition current Polish champions defeated 1-0 FC Aktobe in Kazakhstan on Thursday evening.
The first half finished with a 0-0 draw but few minutes after the break Legia was leading 1-0. Ondrej Duda took advantage of FC Aktobe’s defenders’ wool-gathering. He received the ball from Tomasz Jodłowiec, who executed a free kick and totally surprised rivals’ goalkeeper Andrei Sidelnikov. The result didn’t change and Polish club won 1-0.
