After a thrilling game Warsaw footballers managed to defeat 4-3 their rivals from Wrocław on Saturday evening. The first half finished with Legia’s 3-1 leading over Śląsk. The first goal was struck in the 13th minute by Miroslav Radović, who defeated opponents’ goalkeeper with a flat kick. Nine minutes later it was 2-0 for Legia. After Tomasz Brzyski’s centre into the penalty area, Dossa Júnior jumped up and scored a nice header for his team.
In the 34th minute Śląsk’s Sebastian Mila took advantage of Dušan Kuciak’s mistake and struck a goal for his team. Three minutes before the end of first forty-five minutes Legia’s Júnior scored his second goal in the match after Tomasz Brzyski had nicely executed a corner kick.
Śląsk didn’t want to give up and started attacking Legia’s goal just after the second half had started. And it did help. Mateusz Machaj tried to score a header in the 49th minute. Admittedly Kuciak coped with it but he was helpless with Robert Pich’s final blow. Five minutes before the end of the match Miroslav Radović, who made use of a nice pass from one of his colleagues, struck his second goal. In the injury time Śląsk managed to score its third goal thanks to Flávio Paixão’s header.
Eventually, the game finished with Legia’s 4-3 victory.
