In the springtime Jan Urban complained about no alternative for Takesure Chinyama. However, Legia's coach has greater problems at the moment. The best goalscorer of Legia had an operation due to which he might not be able to play for even eight weeks. This means that "Tejkszur" would resume his trainings at the end of August. "This was only a small operation, so maybe he won't have to pause for such a long period of time" – said team manager, Ireneusz Zawadzki, in an interview for Legia LIVE!. "Once, after a similar operation, Marcin Mięciel resumed trainings after three weeks" – reminisced Zawadzki.
Chinyama suffered an injury at the end of the spring round. That’s why he missed some matches. He returned on the field during the game against Ruch Chorzów and due to the fact that he scored two goals, he won the trophy for the Top Goalscorer. "Takesure was in Warsaw for two days and he complained about anything. He started preparations for the new season as usual and then the injury returned" – explained Zawadzki. "This was not a serious operation and Chinyama should be ready for playing after six weeks" – he finished. The fact remains that Legia will have to cope in the UEFA Europa League without its attacker.
