Valery Karpin (Spartak’s coach): The first half didn’t go as planned for us. We were too relaxed. Up until the 25th minute we played poorly. Things picked up in the second half. The younger players had to be brought in on the pitch, and near the end of the match our gameplay was very good.
Would I want to take any of Legia’s players to Moscow with me? That’s tough to answer - let me just say that Legia’s best player today was Danijel Ljuboja.
I knew that Legia will not be defending today. I was almost certain, that Legia will focus on attacking.
