EL: Metalurgs Liepaja 1-1 Legia Warsaw

In the first match of the second qualifying round Europa League, Legia Warsaw drew away against Metalurgs Liepaja. The first goal scored Michał Kucharczyk and then it seemed that the next goals for Legia will be a matter of time. Unfortunately Rytis Leliuga equalized just before half-time.
Into the second half Jakub Kosecki scored quickly and Legia again came out on top. In 68 minute Dzintars Zirnis saw a second yellow card and then Legia played with advantage of one player. But Jan Urban's players couldn't take advantage of this. To make matters worse Inaki Astiz fouled a rival in penalty area and referee whistled a penalty kick. Oskars Klava equalized. Result of the game didn't change.

Second match leg will be played 26th of July in Warsaw. A draw of 3rd round qualifications to Europa League will be held tomorrow at 13.30.
