Duda welcomed at Łazienkowska

Before the match against Jagiellonia Białystok on Sunday evening began, Legia’s new player Ondrej Duda had been welcomed at Łazienkowska. For a long time it was uncertain if this 19-year-old footballer was to join the team from Warsaw in the winter or in the summer break because his former club didn’t want to agree to the transfer. However, the Slovak was determined to play for the club from the capital of Poland. He received a T-shirt with number “8” on it from Jacek Mazurek and Michał Żewłakow.

Duda was called up to Ekstraklasa games and today he’s been training with his team colleagues for the first time. Formally, he can be taken into consideration as a potential member of the first line-up before the match against Śląsk Wrocław, but due to the fact that he was dismissed from the first team in MFK Košice, he may not be ready to play.
