Polish Cup: Śląsk Wrocław 1-1 Legia
In the first leg of the Polish Cup quarterfinal Legia Warsaw only drew 1-1 with Śląsk in Wrocław on Thursday evening. Warsaw players had scored the goal seconds before the referee finished the first half. Its author was Michał Żyro.
Śląsk’s footballers equalised a few minutes before the full time after Łukasz Broź’s mistake. Legia’s player wanted to pass the ball to Dušan Kuciak using his head. However, he did it so poorly that the football had been seized by Marco Paixão, who defeated Warsaw goalkeeper.
It’s worth mentioning that both teams finished the game with only ten men on the pitch. Tomasz Hołota and Ivica Vrdoljak were punished with red cards by the referee.
The match finished with a 1-1 draw. The second leg takes place on 5th March at 8 p.m. local time at Łazienkowska.
