Although Legia was leading 1-0 with Śląsk Wrocław thanks to Ariel Borysiuk’s goal in the first few minutes of the match, the team from Warsaw eventually lost 1-2. The away team hasn’t been able to win in the capital of Poland for the last ten years. This time Wroclavian footballers managed to defeat Warsaw players. At first, Przemysław Kaźmierczak equalised and then, four minutes after the beginning of the second half, former Legia’s supporter Sebastian Mila struck the second goal for his club. Footballers of Young Legia managed to outclass 4-0 their young local rivals (Młoda Ekstraklasa) at Konwiktorska on Monday. Young Legia’s player Rafał Wolski, who also is a member of Warsaw team’s senior squad, scored three goals! The last goal was stroke by... Young Polonia’s Tomasz Wełna. The result could have been even higher, but Wojciech Lisowski had missed the penalty in the 8th minute of the game. In the first leg of Polish Cup’s quarterfinal Legia only drew 1-1 with Ruch in Chorzów on Tuesday. Warsaw footballers played really poor in the first half and probably that is why the host team was leading 1-0. The only goal was scored by Ruch’s Arkadiusz Piech in the 15th minute of the game. Footballers of both Cracovia and Legia let their supporters watch a great number of goals on Friday. The match finished with an amazing 3-3 draw. The first goal was scored by Cracovia’s Marian Jarabica in the 36th minute of the game. Just before the break Legia’s Michał Kucharczyk equalised. Five minutes after the beginning of the second half the Cracovian team was leading again – Alexandru Suvorov properly executed a penalty. Twelve minutes later Warsaw team’s new player Michal Hubnik scored his first goal in Polish Ekstraklasa.

In the last friendly match which took place in Cyprus Legia’s footballers only drew 1-1 with FC Tobol (Kazakh: Тобыл Футбол Клубы). The first goal was scored by Tobol’s Igor Jurin in the 28th minute of the game and after first half Kazakh club was leading 1-0. Warsaw team could equalise, but Ivica Vrdoljak wasn’t able to strike a goal from a penalty.

Legia’s rival in the third friendly match in Cyprus was FC Krylia Sovetov (Russian: Профессиональный футбольный клуб "Крылья Советов" Самара), again. This time, Warsaw footballers managed to defeat their Russian opponents only 1-0. The only goal was scored by Ivica Vrdoljak in the 16th minute of the game. The footballer properly executed a penalty after a foul on Miroslav Radović.

Players of Young Legia managed to defeat 4-1 footballers of Young Korona Kielce (Młoda Ekstraklasa) on Saturday. The first three goals were scored in the first half of the match. What’s interesting is the fact that two of them were stroke by Bruno Mezenga. The third one was a penalty which was successfully executed by Kamil Majkowski.

Legia’s players managed to win the second match in a row. This time footballers of Warsaw defeated 4-1 Korona in Kielce on Friday evening. After the end of the first half Legia was leading 2-1 thanks to Michał Kucharczyk’s and Ivica Vrdoljak’s goals. The second mentioned player properly executed a penalty which was ordered by the referee who saw that Korona’s Zbigniew Małkowski had fouled Legia’s Miroslav Radović. Footballers of Legia managed to win 1-0 their match against Widzew in Łódź thanks to Ivica Vrdoljak’s goal in the 16th minute of the first half. Warsaw team could defeat its rivals at least 3-0, but firstly the referee didn’t recognize unfairly a foul on Rzeźniczak after which there should have been a penalty for Legia and secondly he didn’t recognize a properly scored goal by Michał Kucharczyk.

Young Legia’s players won 3-0 their match against Young Lechia in Gdańsk. All goals were stroke in the second half of the game. The first was scored by Piotr Augustyniak who properly executed a penalty after a foul on Kamil Majkowski.

Legia Warsaw lost its fourth match this season (out of total six). This time footballers from Warsaw weren’t able to defeat Zagłębie Lubin. Although the first half ended with a 0-0 draw, this was only worse after the break. At first, Dawid Plizga managed to score a goal in the 55th minute of the game, and then, twenty four minutes later, Zagłębie’s Kędziora defeated Machnowskij for the second time. This is however believed that the second goal shouldn’t be counted, because during the goal action the ball got outside the sideline. Players of Young Legia managed to defeat 2-1 footballers of Young GKS in Bełchatów (Młoda Ekstraklasa). The first goal was scored by Kacper Starek in the 10th minute of the match. Three minutes later Bełchatów’s Pieczara equalised. The first half ended with a 1-1 draw. Fortunately, Piotr Augustyniak properly executed a penalty after a foul on Rafał Wolski in the 68th minute of the game and Young Legia won the match.

In an outstanding game from the first fixture Legia managed to defeat 2-1 Cracovia Cracow. Nevertheless, some Warsaw team’s supporters who gathered at Łazienkowska on Monday could have had a heart attack, because the final goal thanks to which Legia won its game was scored in the last seconds of the match. In the last match of season 2009/2010 footballers of Young Legia only drew 1-1 with Young Cracovia’s players (Młoda Ekstraklasa). After the first half there was a goalless draw. The first goal was scored by Young Cracovia’s Bartosz Tomczuk ten minutes before the end of the game. Fortunately, Young Legia’s Dominik Furman executed properly a penalty and Warsaw club managed to equalise in the last minute.

This is hard to believe, but Warsaw footballers managed to win 3-2 their match against Lechia, although the team from Gdańsk was leading 2-0! The first goal was scored by Lechia’s Paweł Nowak in the first minute of the game. Nine minutes later Lechia’s Hubert Wołąkiewicz properly executed a penalty and Legia was losing 0-2. Fortunately, thirteen minutes before the end of the first half Legia’s Maciej Rybus managed to score a goal and Warsaw club was losing just 1-2.

Legia was defeated 1-0 by Hajduk Split in the last friendly match of its preparatory camp in Mijas (Spain). The only goal was scored by Ahmad Sharbin, who properly executed a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. Warsaw team’s coach, Jan Urban, decided that his best players would appear on the pitch. That’s why people who gathered near the stadium were able to see those footballers whom Legia’s supporters used to watch in the autumn round. Unfortunately, there was no attacker on the field, because Bartłomiej Grzelak is ill, and Takesure Chinyama and Marcin Mięciel suffered injuries. Legia managed to defeat Arka Gdynia in Warsaw in the last game (Ekstraklasa) of the current year on Sunday. The only goal was scored in the 50th minute by Maciej Iwański who perfectly executed a penalty. The match was watched by nearly 2000 viewers who gathered at Łazienkowska on this chilly day. In the first leg of the third qualifying round against Broendby (UEFA Europa League), Legia drew with the team from Copenhagen 1-1. Both goals were scored after penalties.
